A Jew would have a Hebrew name if he grew up or worked in his community. Jesus has no Hebrew name.
Jesus was first known by Iesous in Greek from the book about him, the New Testament.
In Hebrew he has always been called Yeshu. That name is Hindi, even today also the name of Jesus in India. It seems originally to have been a title for Krishna and came out of Egypt where Krishna followers were active.
I am from Canada, now resident in Israel. I’m 71. I blog at The Times Of Israel. This is my second book; the first is entitled Prolegomena To The Space Exile Of The Jews.
